one's left hand thread, one's right hand thread and they need to be so they can be adjusted on the car, the sleeve has L and R threads to accommodate this.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

As said you need a leftie and a rightie on each tie rod sleeve and it does not matter which side of the sleeve gets the rightie/leftie tho on the assy line I'm sure there was a particular order as speed/uniformity/efficiency/limiting mistakes is the name of the game there. Lefties have an unmistakeable twist to the threads that cannot be mistaken whereas righties have to the naked eye almost parallel threads. On the dr side I put a leftie next to the LBJ spindle arm and a rightie next to the pitman arm and on the pass side I put a leftie next to the idler arm and a rightie next to the LBJ spindle arm. Get as much thread engagement into the sleeve on each end as you can for security but leave enough threads so it can be adjusted both ways. I get the wheels straight ahead then screw em in pretty much evenly till the tapered tie rod end shanks will fit right into the tapered holes. EDIT & steering box halfway thru it's lock to lock travel first also
