So why would the spring shackle face the frt? I just slid the axle under my car and a) the rear appears to sit way high. b)the shackles face the frt.. I have s.s. springs and the frt hangers are from Mancini, they sold me everything.. Not to highjack, but that does look close. Pic is hard for me to see. Kevin

that is wrong. they should go the other way. like this. either the front hanger is wrong, or the leaf springs are wrong and have a shorter front segment. basically what happened to me.

Hello all finally working on my Bee again. When I got the car painted I had some old 295-65-15's on 15x10 weld pro stars 5.5 offset.I decided to go with wheel vintiques steelies 15x10 5.5 offset, with 285-70-15 from coker tire.put them on the car today they fit but they are damn close to hitting the fender on the front.almost looks like the rear is not centered?Or does this look right to you?
I measured and it seemed like these would fit, also saw a 68 roadrunner with these sorry no pic.his seemed to fit better? There is no weight in the back yet not tank etc..so why so much more space towards the rear?I really hope I dd not just make a huge mistake. The car has espo 1+ springs anybody running a tire combo like this?Does it work?pics? Its close enough on the front that I wont be able to install the wheel moulding.Really wanted the big and little look with as much tire as would fit.Hope I did not just waste $500
That's pretty close and probably is the right parts? Have you put the entire weight of the car on them yet? Including the motor and trans?
I bet when you get enough weight on the springs it will allow those shackles to angle toward the rear.

All SS springs have a 20 inch front segment. They are pretty much A body springs no matter which ones you have. Most late B are 22 inch and Es Im not sure on the length of front segment. When I put them on my 65 Mancin sold me MP hangers.Totally wrong for my car.I finally got the right ones That member Andy makes.Mancini carries them also. Yes the shackles should face toward the rear.Rocky

I hung the qtrs on this customers car with the SS springs in place as well as the 31" tires, no mods other than tubs to the qtrs (AMD full qtrs), after re-assy the rear wheel/tire assy was pretty much like your pic with the car sitting higher and the wheel/tire within an 1" or less of the front wheel opening, definitely one of those WTF moments! I didhave a pic of it sitting high and located far forward (can't find it now!) but like I said earlier on this customers car the rear shackles could be pulled rearward by me and an assistant because the SS springs had a few years/hard launches on them, at this point the car was just still a somewhat bare shell, no motor/tranny, no interior, no gas tank, glass, etc, etc, etc
