I torque all the wheels except the truck to either 90 or 100.Even with the Pro Stars they go to 90.Did it at work also.If mags good to recheck after say 10 miles or so.Rocky

You read it wrong.
I have to look in my service manual for the pre load, but you want need some pre load which is more than hand tight.
Put it together and spin the rotor by hand while you snug the spindle nut with socket and rachet, one knoch past tight is when the cotter pin goes in.

That procedure sounds right the 20 ft lbs is to seat any new bearings. Then back off to loose, and tighten till the slack is just out, in use the assembly heats up and everything expands making the fit tighter.
