I have a LA style small block engine that has had the lifter bores bushed and it was ran with a solid roller cam before.
My question is if I try to run a flat tappet hydraulic cam with the bushed lifter bores is it going to allow enough oil to the hydraulic lifter to keep the lifters pumped up properly and provide enough oil to the lifters to prevent any issues.

If the lifter bores are bushed no oil will enter the lifters to do their job.
Why not just run a solid set up and don't look back?

If I'm not mistaken they have a small oil hole in them block is at the machine shop will have to check it when I get it back.
It's going in a Ramcharger 396 stroker with Indy/RHS heads I was just looking to keep it simple and maintenance free and cheaper setup. But if I have to I will run a solid roller was just wondering if there was a way to run the bushed lifter bores and still use a hydraulic flat tappet. Maybe drill a larger oil hole in the bushing??
