What could a person expect if they installed aluminum bushings in the front eye of the rear spring, this is a street car with a Dana and a spool. Would there be a lot more noise , etc.

Not sure about noise, but the ride will be stiffer. Poly spring eyes might be a good compromise.

Some people do it, but I don't think a spool on the street is a good idea.

I've got cal-tracs and use the aluminum bushings in the front spring eyes of my car and it definitely makes more noise and rides harder than the rubber bushings did.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Seem to recollect that chevy racers would take the bushings out of their suspension, and drive in a bunch of 2" finish nails to stiffen the rubber bushings. 70's technology, but it is cheap.
