HUNTED: ORIGINAL DRIVELINE FOR 1969 ½ SUPERBEE WM23M9A306986, LAST SEEN IN 1976 NEAR PEORIA, IL in a Duster...

Hi All!

A co-worker of mine is looking for the 440 engine, automatic trans, and Dana 60 removed from his ’69 ½ Six Pack SuperBee.

The VIN for the Super Bee is WM23M9A306986.

When purchased from the original owner in July 1976 in the Peoria, IL area, the 440 six pack, 727 AT and Dana 60 had been removed and replaced with a 318 engine, 904 transmission and an 8.75 rear end.

The Bee’s original engine and drive train was put into a Duster or similar A-body that the owner was racing at the time, and he suspects the Duster original equipment was what was put in the Bee.

The Bee’s original owner frequented many of the local dragstrips around Chicago and St Louis including Midstate Dragway in Havana, IL and US 30 Dragstrip.

If you have any recollection of this Duster, or happen to know the whereabouts of any piece of this driveline, please PM me!

Thanks!
Dave

Good luck on that Dana. If it went under an A body, it's surely been shortened considerably... What a shame. Sure wish you the best.

I’m listening.

That is a great question, Thanks! He has the 318 and trans, he will get the VIN's off of them.

Maybe he can search for that car if it is registered anywhere.
