It is with great disappointment that we have to post that the BGR Championship Series Event at Pittsburgh Raceway Park is CANCELLED and will not be made up. Check back this evening as we will be posting additional news about the Curt George Memorial Race at Quaker City Dragway in August. We are finalizing the details to make the 10th Annual Curt George Memorial the Single BEST Race of the 2014 Season.

Official Announcement from Greg Miller Track Manager at PRP....

Dear racers and fans of Pittsburgh Raceway Park,

I met with our construction team and the management team from the BGR Championship Series today. We came to the unfortunate decision that we simply cannot provide a safe racing surface in time for this weekend’s Pittsburgh Showdown, the inaugural event in the BGR Championship Series. The test and tune scheduled for Thursday is cancelled as well. We will continue to work on the improvements, and provide updates as the progress continues. Please keep checking back, as we will update as soon as we know when we will resume our scheduled events. I sincerely apologize for the disruption and inconvenience, and truly appreciate your support and understanding. I hope to see you here at the track very soon.

I already bought all the food for this weekend and need to do something with it so can we just go camping there and bench race our mouths

To me it would be as good as 1/8 mile racing
