9 1/4 Factory clutch pack setting? #1629563

Factory 9 /14 rear out of a Dakota. I believe the clutch pack were installed improperly.
Do the clutches, which are concaved or convexed depending on how u look at it, do they go against the gear with the small end pointed towards it? Or is it the other way aroung? Hope I explained this correctly.

I hope I can explain it right. The center inside that is the highest if you would set them flat would go to the gears. It is called a belleville . spring. Ma-mopar don't even show a good pic or tell you how it go's LOL Hope this helps.

So if its a dinner plate the side that would be touching the table would be touching the gear. If this is right then one side was the opposite.

The guy building the car on the line just attached an axle assembly to the vehicle.

The guy at the axle factory just pulled a limited slip differential out of a box or crate and assembled the axle.

The guy at the limited slip differential factory assembled the limited slip out of parts. He's the guy who got it wrong.
