Don't think you'll hear too many complaints, I have one, it works great.

I also am looking at converters. As for this one, those that have had them in a street application, how was the stall? How did it flash? Good for small nitrous use (less than 200 hp shot)? I just want to know what sort of street manners it had cruising, stoplight to stoplight, or highway driving? Was looking at Dynamic converter's street/strip 9.5" but this one could be an option. Thanks for the input!

My main concern for a 9.5" unit is how tight it can be for a street application.

Can anyone add their opinion?
Thanks for the replies.

Whatever company you buy your converter from should be able to tailor it to fit your combination. A converter is one thing you don't want to buy "off the shelf".

The street manners on the 9.5" PTC are excellent. Drives like normal until you hit the gas and then it opens up a can of whoop [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean].

My cruising RPM also went down a couple hundred compared to the old MP one that I had before, so I would say it helped freeway driving considerably.

I told John the stall I wanted. He asked about my engine, tire size and rear end ratio. I put it in and it works exactly as I asked for. I was blown away when I tested the stall at stop with the brake applied and it was exactly what I ordered.

I have a John Cope built 904 in my Barracuda with a PTC 8 inch converter in front of it; they work flawlessly!

Talk to John, tell him what you want, he will build you what you need, and you'll be happy!

I have one in my blown small block Volare. 2 years no problems. Flashes to 5100, very close to where they said it would be. They offered to adjust it exactly if I wanted (slightly tighter). Car E.T. is off about .15 from a full race custom 8" converter. Drives very well on the street. Excellent people to deal with . Both Cope Racing and PTC. I would purchase from either one again.

I just got off of the phone with John Cope and he was absolutely fun to talk with.
I had emailed him my car specs and he wanted me to call him about switching over from my current 10" converter to a 9" PTC unit. After our discussions, he told me that he did not feel that selling me one of the PTC 9.5" converters is the best for my car. Honesty, I like that!!!
He told me that going with a low gear set or a set of headers would be better money spent than another converter for my current combo and expectations.
If you are in the market for a converter, please place John towards the top of the list.
