Looking for a simple set of single springs to handle my .480 mystery cam. I've always just ordered the recommended springs for a cam but the only info I have on this one is the lift. Anyone have any P/N's for a good guess?

I've been liking beehive springs because they provide plenty of clearance for adjustable rockers, have a smaller, lighter retainer and are suppose to control spring harmonics better than conventional springs. Just gotta do research to find a spring compatible with your cam application and existing valve spring installed height, which tends to be around 1.67" for an OEM small block. But you have a little wiggle room by juggling + .050" locks and/or retainers. Taller valves are available too if you need to replace them.

Is it a new or used cam? It's a pain, but with conventional lifters, I always broke a cam in with OEM springs or removed the inner spring in dual applications. Then swapped the final stuff in afterwards.

Hughes 1110s. Comp 901s will also work if you have enough installed height. I am using Crane 833s on my 318, should be good to 0.474"
The short installed height of the LA and Mag motors make it hard to find a decent single spring as you approach 0.500 lift.
