A big thanks to Rod Bloomer from BPE for organizing, supplying, and shipping my 4.125 stroker kit. 13.5 dome pistons,1.5mm ring package,6.2 compstar rods, and bearings.Very happy with the service.I'm from Australia on the other side of the planet, and after reading all the positive posts on moparts,i am now another satisfied customer of BPE.
Thanks to Rod for the great options for us mopar guys.
Cheers Peter.

Rod s definitely the best when it comes to customer service and a good product for the money. I have been running his first kit ever sold for many years and it sold me on him.

Hi Dave, i would like to reveal the cost of the kit.But as my wife moderates my posts, i don't want to incriminate myself on the $$ spent.
All i can say is that the BPE kit was cheaper than a regular Scat/Icon
(not knocking Scat)kit including the shipping. That i could have bought locally.
Just send Rod a message for your requirements and he will look after you.

ok, I will when I get ready for next rebuild. do you think those pop ups cost any power compared to a flat top? what brand piston?

Dave, you can check out my pump gas build, complete with invoices... The pistons are Race-Tec.

I've always been a big block guy, and when I started to do the small block, my thought was "I wish 440 source did small block kits!" After my experience with Rod at BPE, my feeling is more like, "I wish he did big block kits!!"

Dave... on the pistons thats sorta hard to say...to
run them on the dyno then change over to a flat top
and cut that much off the chamber most guys would
never try... I myself try to run the flattest possible
but I also have a .100 raised section to give me 14.1:1
on my W-9

my next build is gonna be 13-13.5 compression. hard to get there with a flat top and a head with 60cc chamber. a pop up would make things much easier as long as they don't cost any power and then they have to fit my indy chamber. thanks mike

With a 4.125 stroke and a 60 cc chamber you will hardly need any dome. My 421 was 13 to 1 with a 64 cc chamber and had just enough dome to make up for the valve reliefs.

yeah, about a 7cc dome would be perfect. i'm concerned about weight and the less the better. I would prefer a flat top if possible as i'm using my factory 360 block for the build. I know, I need an after market block, but i'm rollin the dice on this one.

Getting ready to drop my BPE 4.25 crank into my 360 block (440") shortly, it's a very choice piece. With ported W2 heads, ~10:1 and a smallish (251/259@.050) Bullet solid roller it's gonna be a real sleeper in my 66 Valiant V100 Wagon.

Boy, you guys with stock blocks who have intentions of making serious steam have way more kahunas than I would have using huge stroke cranks.
Of course having already broken a stock block motor and haveing had to build another motor, my concerns are probably more dollars and cents based.
Tossing 4.125/4.25 strokes around in stock blocks with serious power thoughts in mind wouldn't make me sleep well
