You don't remove leafs, you install bigger blocks or alter the leafspring mountings.

Or take some of the arch out of the springs.

I really don't remember how many leafs were in the springs in my '64 Polara hardtop, but my 2wd Ramcharger has only 5 on each side stock and I don't think my '87 D100 is configured like your wagon. If it were mine I would go with four each, but would start with matched, fresh springs. It is possible the PO started adding leafs to compensate for sag...or maybe you got yourself a moonshine runner

Yes you an lower the rear by removing leafs from it, or ordering a different spring. We have done it MANY times with no ill affects as long as you do not get carried away. Not exactly a racey thing to do but will work. If this is a race deal then best bet is to go with a Mono leaf from Calvert or Landrum etc.

Use a spring hanger with a second eye bolt hole. Mancini Racing sells them.

My two cents. I think you people are nuts. Nothing like a mopar up in the rear 1-2 inch rake to the front and up and level on launch. Did any of you play in the sixties and early seventies. We where building mean cars then for no money when fords and chevys couldn't launch for crap. Six or 318 t-bars get the ass up and leave like no other. Now you all what to set like them and leave like them. What a waist!!! look like what ever i'll be able to see how it looks in the rear veiw mirror.

So you are saying I should have had a bunch of leafs in my '64 and have it jacked up in back to be cool? To each his own...all I can say is that with the big tires in the back and a slight lowering in the front the car was a great road car with an attitude that was just right and I had no problem seeing who was chasing me...though I never got caught
