Larry,

The shop has 2 electric baseboard heater that keep the shop right around 60°, you can see one mounted just above the row of lights in the third picture above. Fortunately my shop rent includes the electric ;-)
Thank you
Pat

Scored a nice 68 console Inland shifter on craigslist. My plan is to cut the base off and modify the shifter for my T 56 six speed using the T handle to engage a micro switch to operate the electronic reverse shut out on the T56
Thanks
Pat

I'm really looking forward to seeing this car, painted, and the assembly progress. yet, I'll be kinda bummed when it's all done. The detail, and seeing the work put into it, has been interesting. Keep up the good work.

BTW, you make me feel lazy LOL.

My thoughts exactly... This car reminds me of a "riddler award" car.. So many hidden aspects to it...

I say this due to watching Chip Foose describe his "riddler" winning car one time... So many things you just don't realize until it is shown to you...

Landing gear is on and she will be on the ground soon. Then I'll hang the doors, fender, hood and trunk to set & correct the gaps.
Thanks
Pat

Thanks

The subject of small dings and dents was brought up, so I thought I would post a few pictures of how an old body man showed me an easy technique to work them out if you have access to the other side. Using a spring-loaded center punch with a filed down blunt end.

Start with locating and marking the dent from the backside. Then unscrew the spring-loaded center punch a few turns as to lessen the blow for the first try. It may take two or three strikes to get the panel flush, along with changing the tension on the spring loaded center punch. You may need to move the impact point a 16th of an inch in either direction to work the dent out.

Thanks
Pat

Hey Nice tip Pat, And thank you for sharing.
Say what is that on the inside of the door? Something to cushion the blow of the center punch?

Don,
That is just an optical illusion, I scraped away some of the sound deadening on the inside of the door so that the punch would make direct contact with the metal.
Thanks
Pat
