The 85 service manual says they are 52" long but it does not say how they are measured. I would guess eye to eye on the arch. 44 sounds a little short for the 94 and up trucks. I thought they were a bit longer than the older trucks?

Mine measures about 43 1/4. I looked under my 99 and the shock brackets are welded to the axle, and the spring perches are 3" wide. The older trucks are 2 1/2" springs and the shocks are bolted to the lower spring plate. Not sure if this could be made to work or not? May have to do a little cutting and welding.

72-93 trucks have 43" perch centers same as A-body
72-4x4 8 3/4 housing I have is 59" flange to flange same as C-body 8 3/4
IIRC the 94 up trucks are 43" perch centers with the flange to flange measurement wider overall.
the 94 jeep axle is 43" perch centers and housing is spot on for A-body or tubbing a 71-93 truck.
I know the 94 has been in a mid 80s or was it the mid 80s in the 94 up truck..either way it was some what a bolt in.
