bentwheel43 OP mopar Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 635 mississippi	Hi, I just got a new car it has a remote oil filter with 2 filters. I had a leak so I took it off to check the O-ring. When I put it back on I put it out of the motor to out on the filter by (mistake)and started the motor just 20 or 30 seconds to see if the leak stopped then turned it off. The motor had new oil call the man that sold me the car told me that it had to go back out of the motor to in on the filter so I switched it back my question is did I hurt any thing. 8128203-002.JPG (63 downloads) Last edited by bentwheel43; 04/29/14 06:29 PM. MR_P_BODY Master Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 52,972 Romeo MI	The outer side of the filter(OD of it) is ALWAYS the inlet side... it has greater surface area to catch more trash... like was said if its been a running engine you didnt hurt anything... put the fittings on right and run it... cut open the filter to check it out
