Spent all last spring and summer getting the body ready, painted in the fall and have spent this year wetsanding and buffing. Finally pushed her outside today for a look in the sunshine. I'm more than happy with the results. My first "real" paint job. Many thanks to all my friends and family and fellow Moparts members for the tips and hints! Assembly tips and hint will be next

That looks great! Is the car red or orange. Hard to tell from the pics.

I want to have my body man paint mine with single stage for a more original appearance. Are you happy with how the PPG looks up close?

I'm happy with it up close. You can put a typed piece of paper against it and read it plain as day. That only came with the wetsanding and buffing, but I didn't go 100% absolute flat. Was worried about cutting to deep having the metalic in it. I believe the PPG single stages are the best matches for color and texture, my only advise is don't use thier hardener. Go with someone else's "wetlook" hardener. PPG's high gloss doesn't dry real hard, looses it's shine in about a month as well. Here's a close up of front corner of fender and hood.

Get some shiny wheels on that beast and your paint will really pop!

I thought mine was done as well but have to repair the left fender or find another one. It had a repair and the HL bezel doesn't come close to fitting.

Thanks! Trying to figure out stripe color now. Had all intentions of putting the orange R/T stripe on it. After recieving a color sample, I have yet to fall in love with it. Thinking about going with white even though all my interior is black. Any thoughts? Anyone use this orange stripe?

Orange on Orange is awesome looking. but the White and Black aren't bad either. Tough choice.

If the orange were toned down like your picture, I would say orange. Knowing how bright the orange really is, I lean towards black. Yep, tough choice.
