I sell Sunoco race fuels, I had a customer ask about E85R from Sunoco. It is $454.54 a drum.

Ouch! Yeah, just a little over 3 bucks a gallon at the pump here too (that would be about $170 for 55 gallons).

ok, multiply that times 55 and you will have the price for a drum

Ted how are you doing?

If you go in the station, ask if they have "drop sheets" for last delivery of E-85. That way we know what percentage the fuel is.
Thanks, Don

E85 is more expensive out here in the northwest because there isn't a lot of demand for it, and it has to be trucked out here. I paid $4.15 last week and bought 72 gallons ($300).

The station people will know it as the drop sheets..
to them its just paper work... I always asked for
the drop sheets and they knew what I meant

I saw it for $2.89 here last week.

I have never been able to get anyone to show me the drop sheets. Most of the time I just get a blank look from the guy making minimum wage behind the counter.

I just bring an empty water bottle and put a little in it before I fill up. Then I check it with my quick fuel tester before I fill up with any significant quantity.

I think there is a lot of bad info out there that E85 will vary a lot. I've checked quite a bit of it, and have never seen it go below 83% in any reasonable weather you'd drive your car in.

Scott.. I was buying it from Myiers at 26 and VanDyke
and every time I checked the summer fuel it was 85%
to 86%... I would ask a customer if I could get a
little bit while they were filling and then show them
what they were getting... I never had a problem from
anyone about getting a little bit.. most would hang
around just to see what it was.. those employees knew
what I was asking for when I asked for the drop sheets..
seems like its getting more common now days for people
to ask for the drop sheets... I gather a lot more
guys are racing with it than some years back when
I started using it

All we can get at the pump here in Tennessee is E70. I've been mixing E98 with it to make E85. I only have enough E98 for a couple more trips to the track, so I'm thinking about rejetting the carb for E70 and see how that works. Mike, what are your thoughts on running on E70?

If your compression will handle it then just change
your settings to adjust to E-70
