I posted a similar video to this last year, different tires and the front end is a little lighter now. 4th round yesterday, leaving at 2700 off the foot brake. 1.441 60 foot, ran 10.465.

http://youtu.be/qTw48XnIJrQ

It appears the tires need a little bit more air, the track was green early (first race of the year) and it seemed to hook best at 12.6#. I'll creep up on it next time I have the car out and see if there is any improvement.

I like how the front end doesn't bounce down when it lands, then back up. Does look like more air in the rears would drop the 60' even more.

What shocks do you use on the front?

Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

126.8 mph, we had a mild headwind all day, the car has been 129.

I've been meaning to lower it. Because its footbraked the suspension is loaded but I'd still like it lower.

I'm hoping so. There is a small bounce, but not bad. Strange Single Adjustable

Why is the rear tire pressure so low? Those are 29x9 Hoosiers, right? I run 18# in mine and have no problems hooking. Granted I'm .01-.03 slower in the 60' and about .2 slower et. And I launch at 3400 on the t-brake.

I run my radials that high, and used to run my ET Streets up there as well. Have never been able to run that much pressure with this size tire, 29x10.5W + Tubes.

Its working pretty good and getting better. Just bought 75 more gallons of E85 this week, carbs still working great.

Cool perspective with the slow motion.

67 Barracuda street car, 408, e85, 1.38 60', 6.44 @105.9 in the 1/8 mile, 10.19 @130.5 in the 1/4...so far....

Have you tried a couple turns more preload on the Caltracs? Just a suggestion, im no expert at all. Also the slicks do seem to be wadding up just a tad.

Mopar to the bone!!!

Looks good. Your first move was out and then on the rear tires. I may add 1/2 lb air in the tires next time.

If it hooks like that all the time, don't change a thing.

True to a point... higher pressure will usually give
it more MPH but if it spins that doesnt matter...
I use to video every pass when the wife would go
with me to the track... I would watch each pass on
the TV I had in the trailer... I watched them frame
by frame to see what it was really doing... a quartering
shot from the rear worked best so I could see the front
and rear tires... I use to vary my tire pressure about
1/2# max for different track conditions ... now I
need to start doing the same thing on the Rampage to
get the best launch... this will be a first for me
to footbrake... I havent done that in over 20 years

OP can win a ton of rounds with that car, working like that. If he's chasing et, that's another deal.

No doubt... but the extra MPH always helps when bracket
racing... just as long as it stays consistent

Thanks everyone for the compliments. The car is working pretty well but there is still some inconsistency to 60 foot. I'll play with tire pressure and possibly some other things to see if I can make it better.

Runs very well for a fairly heavy car, is it still a stroked 318 ?
