Hoping to go this year. Its been a few years since i last went. Always worry about low car count and no money to win. Anyone heard what the payouts will be this year? Probably bring two cars, hope others will support this race.

I spoke to a lady there earlier this week about more info on the race schedule, classes, entry and payouts. She said that Mopar Muscle Magazine is to provide more info by today and to either call or check online. So far, this is all they have.

All-Mopar Southern Nationals

I'm also interested/concerned about the payouts. This will be the first opportunity for me to return after a couple of years so I am looking forward to it, but would like to know what to expect first.

I'll be there, probably giving DTHemi a hand, he might be running two cars.

I plan on running, depends on if I can get a few bugs worked out.
I've never driven on that track, so I'm looking forward to it.
Even if I don't race, I'll be helping out 2 other people that will be there.

"I ain't afraid of no box!", but you're afraid to take yours out! But you might as well stay where you are. I'm going to "RACE", not for a "cake-walk"!

I understand an event needs to make money and events like this are just plain fun regardless of the payout. But I think it's only fair for racers to know what to expect, including what the purse may be adjusted to, if minimums are not met.

i.e.: 0-16 pays this, 17-32 pays that, 33-50.....etc.

Quicktree & I are old racing friends and VERY competitive. We just like to trash talk pretty hard when it comes to racing each other.

I just might have to have several all night thrashes and come up there and kick some butt.

I haven't raced in well over a year now so I'll either have beginners luck or be on the trailer after first round.

Here's the flyer that's on the site now listing the classes. Would like to go, but will have to see.

the date on that flyer says 2011 might not be all that accurate.

Oops, my bad! Guess I was just happy that I found the classes...when I called the track a week ago, they were still waiting on the "Mopar folks" (not sure what that meant) to get back with them so they could finalize the classes.

With the organization skills that are being shown, makes you wonder if someone will be there to unlock the gates.

Anybody heard any updates?

Last year I showed up just to support the event, made a couple of passes then left as full tree racing is not my thing.

Two years ago towed right by SGMP and raced an Index race at Albany.

I would love to get together a "Chicago Style" Index race with Guitar or Dusturbed. Kick a few bucks in a pot and run for it. I just want to have some fun.

Anybody up for it?
