Everything so far has resulted in making the aluminum darker. I wonder if Ajax/Comet and a wire brush would work. maybe mix some bleach with the cleanser and water?

Cab_Burge I Win C Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 43,213 Bend,OR USA	I use cast aluminum wheel cleaner on them off the motor, spray on and rinse after 20 to 60 seconds, depending on the outside air temps. DO NOT let it dry Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

They don't clean easy and they'll never look new again. So I think the next time they come off they'll get cleaned up and shot w/ paint.
