I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 , 5.9L gas engine, auto trans, 4x4 . The transmission will not upshift all the time. I have a 99 Dodge Durango, 5.9L gas engine, auto, 4x4 that is wrecked. Will the Durango trans work in the Ram ?

Replace the governor solenoid & transducer before you change trans to see if that solves your problem.

I have replaced two solenoids inside the trans previously, and bypassed the cooler lines with no difference. So I have to rebuild the truck trans or swap it out.

The bellhousing is a little different on the lower drivers side but should work. There will be some bolt holes unused from where the bracketry on the Durango mount the trans to the front diff and engine. If you were putting the truck trans in the durango it might be an issue.
