I have heard nothing but rave reviews about Jim's work so I decided to send my alternator to him. My box arrived today and I could hardly wait to open it.
The finished alternator exceeded my expectations in every way possible. What a make-over!!!
Thanks Jim.

I have yet to see anyone duplicate the quality and attention detail of the smallest parts during the restoration of an alternator or starter as Jim Ridge.

When someone like our friend Jules was impressed with Jim's work.....I think there is nothing else to say

Jim your work is major league territory.

Thank you for the feedback. We've had a ton of help along the way from many off this board. It can be a great resource for discussion and product improvement. My partner and I thank all of you for the support and we'll keep trying to get the starters and alternators closer to what "Ma" sent out. Jim Ridge/Thomas Livingston - Dixie Restorations

I seem to remember a magazine article (can't remember the name of it, either Mopar Action, Mopar Collectors Guide, or whatever) where Dave Walden explained how to restore aluminum components. I don't think he tries to "duplicate" what some of the restoration guys are doing because he wants his Alternators to look Factory correct. Here is what his alternators look like after he restores them.
