I bought one of these trucks that is in extremely nice shape. For basically a song and a dance. The original 6 is out but came with it. Along with the original window stick sales receipt and the build sheet from creative industries was still in the visor.. There is no evidence that the truck came with a roll bar ( like some) and the fog lights are gone. Now I'm putting a 5.2 (converted to carb) magnum in it with a small cam and other boltons in the truck for now for a summer cruiser.. Now my question is the truck to "rare" to cut up and back Half to build a drag truck out of? IMO its just a dakota.

holy double-post batman!!

that said, it really is just a dakota, with some decals. like a shelby dakota, is just a dakota with decals and a transplanted engine. have fun with it, as i personally don't see any real future collectibility in them. some will argue the convertibles and the shelbys, indy's, etc, are special, but they're just dakotas.

tear it up, and have fun.

Original owner lives in Byron(next road down from me). He took the motor out. didn't even know he sold it...He always takes good care of his stuff
and pretty sure he didn't drive it in the winter. PM me your e mail and I'll pass it on to him.
