Does anyone know a source for a rubber gasket (Seal) for a rear sliding window? I bought a gasket from one of the venders that was supposed to work with a rear sliding window, but there is no-way it's going to work. The rear slider frame is too wide to fit into the gasket. The gasket I have is one that does not accept a lock strip.

Thanks, Josh-

Not sure if the sliding rear window weather stripping is made anymore for the 72-93 D/W series trucks. I'm using an original out of a 89 truck which the weather striping used there is really thick, but still soft enough to reuse, but all the repos I see are for the solid back glass which the weather stripping there is real flush smooth type fit, (my back glass seal sticks out toward the back for the thick channel in the slider) might try these places they might or might not have them

www.ebay.com

If you want I can take a pic later of the back glass that im using to show what the weather stripping looks like

Thanks for the pictures. The weather strip in your photos is very different from the weather strip I picked up from one the vendors on your list. I noticed on the ABS site, they state that the weather strip will work with aftermarket rear sliders, but not factory rear sliders. I beleive mine is a factory one, it has the pentastar in the corner of the glass. Anyone else care to chime in?? Josh-

Ok. so after a little research. The mopar weather strip part number for the factory rear sliding window is 3494598. Of course this part number is no longer available. The weather strip for the flat glass and the aftermarket rear sliding windows will not work with a factory rear sliding window.

I found one guy that swears the 92-96 Ford F150 used the same rear glass as the 72-93 dodge trucks. The difference being the Ford has a thicker glass.. No idea, can neither confirm or deney that claim.

The one ebay listing for the 3494598 weather strip I found was for a item that had already sold, with a selling price of $240. I'm not paying that much for weather strip.. I'll go back to the flat glass.. Crazy that no one makes a reproduction weatherstrip for the factory rear sliding window on the 72-93 trucks. 19 years of production, still a few out there.. Josh-

Thanks for that listing. Still, $180 for a peice of weather strip is a little more than I'm willing to spend. I'll keep looking maybe something will turn up. For now I guess I put the flat glass back in.

Ok, out of extreme curiosity I called that place in the above link. They don't have the weatherstrip however they had located one and that's why it's listed on their web site... They sourced it through AMS obsolete. Yea, and good ole AMS wants $370.00 for a NOS weather strip.. Josh-

WOW They are nuts maybe if our D & W series trucks were bringing 40K or more then that might be feasible.
