My rear seatbelts were restored by snakeoyl, and are installed just like the fatory did them (1969 Super Bee). The three of them are clipped to the lip at the base of the rear seat and pulled taut. However, the belt buckles are rattling, mostly over rougher roads. Is there an anti-rattle bushing or something else nakeoyl might have left out?

Your local "helpful hardware man"... Find some adhesive backed black foam weatherstrip to cut off approx. 1/2" x 3/4" tabs. Thickness was originally a bit over 1/8" so 3/16" will do it. You want the harder, more dense stuff, not the softer variety. Position them on the buckle cover so they align with the knurled shaft and you should be "rattle-less"... Rick

It's hard to believe the snakeoyl big bucks seatbelt resto did'nt include the anti- rattle foam... ..For the money you have in them you should'nt need to do anything to them.. ...Don't miss the chance to give them a call and correct it for any future mopar customers....

thanks, guys.
timing is everything. if i started restoring my super bee this winter (not 3 years ago), i would have used a new amd quarter panel for the passenger side. i would have also ordered seat belts from bea rather than snakeoyl. the snakeoyl belts are really nice looking, but they were expensive...and they rattle.

Voila! About .05 cents worth of foam and they are rattle free. Thanks!

Here is a picture showing and original and the unit(s) that we are reproducing. We use the exact (firm) foam stock that the manufacturer provided and the 4 mil. protective clear overlay that was applied on the top to keep the foam from being damaged. The thickness is exact to the originals so they provide the same protective function and appearance. The cost to do a complete seat belt set is $6.
