Getting ready to install my new Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes on my '68 RR and have a question about the new M/C.

My current M/C is a stock-style Mopar M/C with 4 mounting bolts to the firewall. The new Wilwood aluminum M/C is a 2 bolt installation. Is there an adapter plate I need to buy in order to install it?

Also - I ordered the 7/8" bore M/C.......is this the right diameter for the car? I went with 12.2 (6 piston) on the front and 12.2 (4 piston) on the rear.

I would think these are questions for Wilwood to answer.

Yes there is an Adapter kit and you may also need an adjustable push rod to go with it.

As for your second question, I had the large bore MP master on mine to start off with. I thought there was a problem with it and put a new, small bore master on it. (couldn't get the large bore from MP any more ) It turned out to be something eles wrong and I put the large bore back on as I wasn't happy with the way the small bore felt.

I think you'ld be happier W/ the larger bore.

I have the 7/8" Wilwood MC in my 66 Coronet with 4 wheels discs. I really like the pedal feel with the 7/8" piston and no booster.

You will need the 4-2 adaptor and adjustible pushrod Wild Bill mentioned.

I'm running the Wilwood 4 piston calipers in front and suspect the 6 piston calipers will be fine. The Wilwood booster has lots of volume available, but I would check with Wilwood or Dean at www.hotrodsusa.com to be sure.

Make sure you've removed the booster type pedal linkage if you go with manual discs. My Coronet had power drums so the linkage had to be removed. The pedal ratio is now close to 6 to 1 with the booster linkage removed.
