Purchased a set of 6 used rims to mount my winter tires on. Could not find a set of 7 hole factory rims (7 holes in rim, 8 lugs of course), they are available only on 2001 & 2002 model years. The rims I purchased were from a Ford cube van, same bolt spacing, offset and centre hole. The recycling yard I bought them from claimed they spun the rims w/o tires & they were ok for balance. Had my tires installed & blanced at yard where purchased rims. After installing the wheels on truck, it shook like crazy, especially at & approaching highway speeds. Had steer tires balanced at another shop...they were out of balance. Shake improved but still there. Had the 4 rear tires balanced, still shakes. Driveline sound, front end tight, winter tires on factory rims were no problem season before. About to put factory rims & all seasons back on, winter almost over here. The question is, has anyone else experienced this problem with Ford or other rims on their 3500?
