I switched heads, rockers, and the intake on my BB 400 block 505 C.I. bracket car motor this winter, I took off a set of MCH CNC ported Eddy RPM and a set of Harland Sharp 1.60 rockers, Mopar M1 single plane 4500 flanged intake and removed the Bullet solid roller lifters. I put on a set of Eddy Victor M.W. non ported heads, Hughes 1.6 cyro treated rockers, Indy 400-3 intake, set of Isky Red Zone .180 offset intake rollers with a set of standard exhaust roller lifters, same headers, same cam. I did change the rear gears also, took out a set of 5.86 Pro Gears with a Mark Williams aluminum 40 spline spool, put in a set of 4.56 with a Moser 40 spline steel spool. The car ran a best of 9.23 at 143. MPH on the throttle stop last year at Woodburn in the summer, 10.20 at Spokane on the stop at the last race in Sept, 2013. I'm going to run the car at Las Vegas next week at the Spring Fling bracket race, it is a 1000 ft. race so no 1/4 mile times, I'm leaving the throttle stop settings the same as it was in Spokane so the 1/8 mile ET and MPH should compare to Las Vegas on the altitude and in the 1/8 mile at Spokane, Las Vegas is similar in performance to Spokane according to the racers that I have talked to that have raced at both tracks How much gain or loss in the 1/8 ? I'll post the results as soon as I know them Guess away No prises for the closes guess Back in the seat again

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Hard to tell without some flow numbers. Rpm range will rise some, I am sure. Have fun

Light chassis car with a powerglide?
Would have been interesting to see just the gear change. That's your difference.

Lets see here... you changed heads, intake and the gear..
being we know nothing about the heads other than the
old set were ported and the new ones are out of the
box.. that might be a negative, I dont know about the
new intake but lets call that a wash, and the gear
change I think will be a plus.. the old one was pretty
steep
