I am looking forward to seeing the potential these things have. Should be able to kind of bridge the gap between W7 8 9 and standard Eddie's or W2

Looking around my old picx. That was 10 years ago, those heads are still pumping air, sold them to a friend.

10 years later.....

the ad says standard BB rockers and 1.55 springs. 2.15x1.60 valves!

It may be ugly, but it sure is slow.

Is it just my eyes or do the ones on Hughes website look to have no combustion chamber ? Like the old 409 Chevy heads were. Ron

Semi finished casting. Give a pair like those to a shop, and cringe at the final cost.

This is why I think people will still look to big W heads to make power

From the hughes webpage...

These heads will use standard big block rocker arms. Four versions are available; bare, bare with valves, complete (for hydraulic/flat tappet cams and solid roller cams) and Pro Port Raw. End-seal spacers are provided.

SB VICTOR PRO-PORT VERSION

UNDERSIZE PORTS/FULL CORNERS ON INTAKE ENTRY/NO CHMBR OR P.ROD TUNNELS

$0.00

Edelbrock expects to make the first production run of these heads April of 2014.

Victor Pro-Port Raw Small-Block Chrysler

Victor Small-Block Chrysler (For LA Engines)

Specs and more info at bottom of the page.

These new Victor Series cylinder heads are for use on 1967-1989, 318-360 c.i. Chrysler LA engines. They feature fully CNC ported 58cc combustion chambers and have an intake port volume of 225cc. These heads are an in-line valve design incorporating a 16° valve angle (stock is 18°) for improved air flow and increased power levels over heavily ported stock versions. They also feature the Chrysler W5 bolt pattern and have raised exhaust ports. The intake port has also been raised approximately 3/4" and the flange has also been extended to accommodate a stock (race) intake manifold such as our Super Victor #2815. Finally, a 5.56" overall length valve (+0.600" from stock) and raised rocker cover permit larger port cross-sections than in the stock head. These heads will use standard big block rocker arms. Four versions are available; bare, bare with valves, complete (for hydraulic/flat tappet cams and solid roller cams) and Pro Port Raw. End-seal spacers are provided.

Flow Numbers as tested by Edelbrock's SuperFlo SF-1020 flow bench (We will post numbers from our flow bench as soon as possible.)
#61779
Valve Lift .100" .200" .300" .400" .500" .600" .700"
Intake 62 119 175 225 251 260 -
Exhaust 52 105 142 169 185 190 -

I hate to rip on a head before its out but these flow number for a 225cc runner head have to be wrong. The 225@.300 looks ok but boy are the rest LOW. Usually they advertise high and end up much lower. Looks like our pistons will need some new valve notches to but I will be in line for a set asap.

The last time I looked at their Web page the flow #s were from a different head.

.... nope, in 2007 after months of trying I was finally able to talk to Steve Tanzi and he had two sets left, one of which we purchased. Nice set of rockers for $700.

These heads are still capable of pumping air (sold them a few years ago)....unlike our other pair that liked to pump coolant too, time and time again. That was the reason for selling the set we still had. We actually were waiting for the Ebrock head to come out, but it never happened, and we moved on.
