Ok I am looking for opinions. Old look or new. Old.

My choice:
Original wheels powder coated the same color as the hood.

I think that would be too much green. I am trying to tone it down some. I was looking at a 1/8" wide green pin stripe around the inside edge of the rims. Thanks for the opinions.

new looks better to me. take the chrome off the wheel wells, and powder coat it semigloss black.

What he said. If your taking the chrome off, you have to remove all of it or it looks goofy to me.
Personally, I like it with the chrome in the "old" way. Gene

I am not really on with this trend of black wheels. But, I guess if you lost the chrome wheel trim or do it in black as suggested that would help. In my opinion that truck begs to be lowered --even just a couple inches is fine (certianly all I would do personally).

As far as trying to tone it down, not quite sure how you can do that--it is lime green after all. I think I would have the whole hood painted black. There really is just to much business with the whole paint job for my tastes.

Edit: Just looking at the pics again, I'd lose the green center caps (looks to ricer for me) and put the chrome front bumber back on---still lose or black out the wheel well trim. A little chrome is nice to break all the green and black up a little bit. Not sure if your rear bumper is chrome, but it should be also to match the front or just get a rear roll pan.

Rear bumper is also black. I'm dropping the rear 2"today to make it level. I have dropped the suspension on another truck I had and ended up hating it. I also think the green caps need to go black but the lady with the check book wanted to see what they looked like green. She likes the chrome around the wheel wells so that will probably have to stay. We are in discussion at the present time.
