Need some Ideas on modifying a stock style crossmember to fit a glide in an A-body.

I used a simple piece of angle iron bolted to the front of the crossmember. I put it on a little low so I have to use 1/2" spacer between the trans and mount. Mine trans is mounted solid and has been for the last 18 yrs. Never a problem.

Mine is the same on my Duster.


70 Duster W8 motor.
1.29 60ft 5.79 1/8 at 120 mph
glide with 1.80 gear
@3170 lbs.
