In going to install my new 3/4" rear sway bar over the weekend on my '68 RR I discovered that the Driver side leaf on the rear has 6 leafs while the Passenger side has 8 leafs.

Any idea if this is the way the leafs are supposed to be setup or why they would be configured this way?

I ask the question because since the Pass side has 2 additional leafs I'll need to buy longer U-bolts in order to install the sway bar mounting plate under the axle.

Any thoughts?

Right side has more torque to it and has more leaves to compensate.

That is correct for a HEMI car or a 383 car with an axle package (3.55s or 3.91s).

Thanks for the replies that makes a lot more sense then it did. I just figured it was something the guy who rebuilt my car did considering all of the other "fixes" I've found so far.
