... Carb-o-holic! I tried, I really tried, to sell my QFT/Proform 1.45" "950" aluminum main body and a set of QFT/Proform 4-emulsion billet metering blocks. But even after I lowered the price again, I still got no interest in the parts advertised on three different gearhead web sites. So, I did what any Carb-o-holic would: buy more parts to build a complete carb from those parts which I'd purchased originally simply to try out on another carb. As a result, it looks like I'm building the "missing link" for Holley Ultra HP-type carbs, since Holley offers only 1.375" v x 1.675", 1.562" v x 1.75" and 1.600" v x 1.75" venturi x throttle bore sizes: - QFT/Proform 1.45" x 1.75" aluminum main body - Holley/BLP 1.75" billet base plate w/ slabbed throttle shafts - BLP 2-circuit x 5-emulsion billet metering blocks - Holley aluminum Ultra HP baffled fuel bowl assemblies w/ .120" N&S seats I've dubbed it the first of my "Mongrel Racing" carb series. If I build another bigger version w/ either a 1.500" or 1.560" main body, I'll call them the "Bad Dawg" and "Mad Dawg" versions, respectively. I can put the new carb up on the parts shelf right next to my: --> Holley original-style "950" 1.375" v x 1.75 w/ Holley/BLP 5-emulsion billet metering blocks, blueprinted base plate w/ profiled throttle shafts... and I expect I'll end up blending & polishing venturi, too --> "Blueprinted / Baseline" Race Demon RS 1.425" venturi sleeves --> "Test Mule" Gold Claw w/ 1.425" / 1.500" / 1.562" venturi sleeve options After all, a man with one car really needs to have a choice of carbs from which to choose.

Hell and the worst part is I have something to put one on but not a good one to put on it!
Back in the swing of things at Painless again! Great to be back!

Yep. I freely admit that what went through my mind when I ordered the last parts for the "Mongrel" was "You know wouldn't be doing this if your freakin' Challenger was already running."
I'm also waiting for Dom (Thumperdart) to jump in here with "What??? Where's the d@mn Dominator???"

I really like the carb you loaned me to try on my street 440 Barracuda. It worked so nice that it inspired me to tweak the air bleeds (not screw in) to improve the cold start and idle transition to get close to that carb. I didn't know what I was missing until I tried your carb. Mine was fine for racing, and I lived with the cold start and off idle response. But now it is awesome !
Yeah, that was the one I listed above as the "Blueprinted / Baseline" Race Demon RS 1.425" venturi sleeves.
That's my "Go To" carb to put The MoPig back on the street since it's a proven piece. It's basically a duplicate of what worked for the Gold Claw before I hurt the engine in 2009, plus a couple of minor tweaks that I was thinking could help clean up how it ran on the street. Thanks, again, for putting it to the test for me.

Forgot, get a dominator and stop messin around............
I think the car will be capable of going as fast as it's track-legal to (10.0) w/ a lowly 4150.
But a 4500 would be pretty cool.

If u lived near by I`d put my junk on and see how it worked........
I I lived near by you, I'd probably be divorced a 2nd time, had my Challenger impounded & crushed for street racing, and wouldn't have a car to bolt any carb onto...
