HMMM, Nuff said I think

what he said... The drive shaft is the last thing I'd be worried about. Driveshafts can be made easy and not too expensive. I've had 2 made, brought them the yokes I wanted use and the lenght needed and go back in 2-3 days and bang new drive shaft.

Quote from Keisler E-Mail: While we wait to see the outcome of the KE Operation Asset Sale, some of you may be seeking to purchase a Keisler transmission kit. In Dec 2013, I sold the Keisler PerfectFit TKO 5-speed and T56 6-speed kit lines to Craig Liberty at Liberty Gear, please contact: NOTE: Liberty's Gears DID NOT PURCHASE OPEN SALES ORDERS OF KEISLER ENGINEERING, INC.. Please do not ask them for parts or warranty support as they have no obligation for KE Inc orders. They spent nearly several hundred thousand dollars to secure the Keisler PerfectFit TKO & T56 product lines. Does anyone else here see an EXTREMELY empty niche for a simple aftermarket accessory/install kit (bellhouse, clutch/PP, shifter, hump, whatever) that will let us bolt up JUNKYARD 5 and 6-speeds to old Mopars?
Many people here have done junkyard tranny swaps, using whatever fits, using as many OEM (from whatever make) parts as possible, that are working fine. Some have done it for peanuts.
Why hasn't someone made a kit to use a (common) Mustang T45, or a (common) F-body or Cobra T56, or a Supra trans or whatever... Like, 'This is what i used, here are the numbers and what to look for in yards...' and then 'Hell, how 'bout i just get it all together and sell it as a kit...'
Not everyone can afford a brand new transmission. Not everyone needs one. There are tons ov used 5 and 6-speeds sitting in yards that will easily hold the power ov an average old Mopar. For the heavier (but still cheapo) bigblock guys, there are Viper T56's or i'm sure other 5-speed options.
Someone could make some money here, whether above or below the board.

all of those transmissions require cutting of the torsion bar crossmember and floor to fit proper. if you can handle that, chances are you're crafty enough to install said trans without a "kit". kits were aimed at the guys who didn't want to modify their cars or engineer anything themselves. those guys are probably best left to go with passons 5sp.

I REALLY wish people would quit bringing up that Passon 5-speed. Last i checked (am i wrong?) they're still not available.
My point was, make a kit and let the customer cut his own floor. Sometimes people just dont have the time or means to do all the scrounging or hunting, experimenting in many cases, to do it themselves. Sadly, i'd have to include myself in that dept, as i no longer have the free time or mobility i once had. A 'kit' would sell. Even if it required cutting, which, as we've learned, many ov the Keisler ones ended up doing anyways.
