The big block torsion bars are in fact a bigger diameter. I dont have the dimensions handy, but they will interchange with the 73-74 cars....all the way up to 79

since 73 all V8 and that includes SBs use same T bars, as far can tell by my Mopar catalog ( 1974 ) and as far I know is .960" bars. then just police cars got bigger than that ( 1" I think ).
the diff on Front suspension between SB and BB cars is on sway bar really, being thicker on BBs
yes, 73/79 B bodies are the same setup
Once again, that is what I'm able to say by the 74 Mopar parts catalog.

About the t-bars. 73-79 B's had three different capacities. The Low rated bars were used in 73 only. The Charger would -most likely- be the Mid rating. If you check the Charger bar ends they're prob stamped 660 and 661 (RH, LH respectively). There is a High cap set ending in 664 665 that were found, typically, on A38, and other HD apps.
Are you certain you don't already have the 660, 661s?
