As some of you know my battery started leaking all over the trunk of my 2006 300C. I am trying to repair all the pieces damaged. I've been to three dealers and they can't id this part. It sits next to the battery drain infront of the the battery tray. I can't get a part number off the piece as its so corroded. Anyone able to help

For the absolute best powder coating go to J.I.T powder coating, contact infomation is in my personal profile..

I'm guessing fuel pump or sending unit. But I'm thinking fuel pump?

Wow we have 07 300 that has been sitting all winter. I just charged the battery last weekend after my wife emptied the trunk so we could get to it.

Why did your battery leak? makes me nervous.

Clean the corrosion and acid off the part and then see if you can identify it.

I don't know what caused the failure. Its a factory battery.

I have tried to clean it off bit the part is so brittle it just falls apart if I even breath on it.

A battery temp sensor would be my guess, the temp of the battery is one factor in calculating the charging voltage.

looks like a through body connector, are there wires connected on the bottom side under the trunk, possibly ABS... 2 twisted pairs of wires, I guess ABS.... , I'll look it up...

That's an ABS thru body connector, the wire colors match up to rear ABS sensors , I'd just clean around the area, make sure the ABS light doesn't stay on after replacing the battery

I have an 05 Magnum - maybe this is the part? Its in front of the battery tray - towards the front of the car.
