I have a set of disk brake's (spindle's and all) that I saved off a 77 Cordoba that I parted out last year. Can I use them on my 70 Roadrunner? I wondered if the ball joints will bolt right up to these assemblys. The runner has drums.

Thanks!

Yes.

The spindles will bolt right up. Mount the calipers to the front like the 70-72 B bodies and you'll just need to source the appropriate flex hoses.

If you don't allready have 15 inch wheels you will need them.
Those Cordoba's use 11 3/4 inch rotors, so you need 15's to clear the calipers.
Something for you to think about.

75-83

76-79 'dobas have 11.75" rotors (continued use from 79-81 in R-bodies)
75 & 80-83 'dobas have 10.87" rotors

I think you can put the caliper Brackets to the rear if you get the '82 dodge diplomat calipers ($15 t0 $20 from auto zone ). You will also need the 69 camaro front brake hoses as they are shorter. This is the combo I put on my 71 cuda since the hose perch on the frame was behind the spindle. Everything bolts up on the 11.75 rotors and spindles from the cordoba.

Would it make any difference one way or another if you had the pads that drop in vs the heavy duty brake option with the pin style pads like the C Body cars used? Do you have to use the spindles too or will the bracket bolt to the original drum spindle? What about the proportionate valve? Years ago I thought there was a link on this in the tech archives but I sure couldn't find it.... Thanks for the help!

Drum spindles are totally different than disc.I run a 5th Ave PP valve on my 65.The Doba spindles are IIRC taller than the RRs.Mine are taller than the 65s.Been on at least 10 years now.I had Dart spindles and changed to the taller ones.Pin calipers you can get ceramic pads for them.I run the ceramics on my 65.No fade ever and stops great.Rocky
