It's just that easy. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh2.gif) O.K. , it was for me , but I mounted the pick up bracket to a motor plate. I have a small block and use the ATI with a big block pattern.

The boss on the water pump was .750" diameter aluminum that sat flush on the lower bolt face of the water pump. It was welded to the pump housing to stabilize it. The motor plate was slotted by marking the radius with a pencil stuffed through the alternator mount hole and swinging the alternator off the water pump mount. I drilled a series of holes along the mark and connected them by hand with a die grinder. This curved slotted hole gives the belt adjustment. Then it's spaced out with .750" round stock drilled for a through bolt clamping it to the plate. Doug
