Decided to turn my 69 coronet 500 into a black 69 1/2 bee look alike. It's just going to be a nice driver that I can beat around in. I've always loved the looks of a black 69 1/2 bee and what better to do it with. I'm actually going to put a 5.9 motor out of a Durango r/t that I went through and installed a custom grind cam, EQ heads that I had worked over, air gap eddy intake. I'm also going to try and keep the a/c in the car as well. I'm going to install a black vinyl top, black interior, with black stripe. I've picked up correct looking black steel rims and brand new g70 good year polyglas tires. I purchased the car on here. The car looked solid in the pics and when I got it home I was very excited to see just how solid it was, made it very easy to do over.

Welded up all the holes for the trim and started body work to all the little door dings.

fenders should be ready to buff out soon. I bolted them back onto the car to cut with 1500, 3000 then buff out.

Gave the doors a quick cut and buff. When I get them bolted onto the car I'll do them a little better.

I'm going down tonight to pull the motor and dash so I can get the body in primer this weekend and get that ready for paint.

I'm actually going to keep the trailer hitch on it to haul stuff with it(lol). Looks like the original owner used it to haul his dirt bikes around.

Thanks, this is the closest thing I've found to what mine will look like except mine will have a black stripe. I've also got the side scoops for mine as well.

Thanks, I'm hoping it will be literally a cool ride if I can get the a/c stuff all working. I've got to use all the newer a/c stuff in the engine bay for 2003 5.9 motor and then make it work with all my factory a/c stuff in my dash, should be fun. The kids will fit in this car pretty decent and stay nice and cool. I wanted to get it done and maybe drive it to Carlisle this year. The cars hood will stay on it during shows so I'm not worried it looking correct in the engine bay I just want the out side of the car and interior to look clean. I kept the holes in the trunk lid to reinstall the dealer emblem(Memphis TENN Dodge). I think I'll even keep the decal on the bumper(lol). The bumpers are actually in decent shape and will clean up really well. Another thing that I'd like to add to the car is power windows and a 4 speed later on down the road.

Great project. Looks like it will be sweet. Everyone knows I kind of have a thing for those cars, especially black ones. You get a big thumbs up from me , except for your choice of wheels . God I hate black steelies. I hope to see you at carlisle with it...and I promise to admire it even if it is wearing steelies and redlines

Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

Lol, the plain black steel rims with the red line tires and the lift off hood are two of the things that I love most about a12's. I did order a set of promo disk from Rick for it as I've always thought those were really neat. Not sure if I'll install them but just incase I ever want to.

Great project Ryan! Like your comfy work chair I'd probably doze off while sanding the car

Nice project & great progress. Seems not too long ago it was for sale here. Glad it went to a deserving and ambitious home. Looks awesome so far, and keep up the nice work!!
