Otherlane OP super stock Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 830 east coast	I have a 1996 dodge avenger and one day I pulled out on the beltway than I heard a boom. The car wouldn't move so than I pulled over and stopped,turn the car off. I started the car up it again than pull out on the beltway now will only shift two gears. What is goin on in the transmission?

PC-CHARGER super stock Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 916 MB,CAN	It's fairly common to have the shaft that the differential pinion gears ride on to turn and then works it's way out. Eventually it hits the transaxle case and breaks it.
