Thank you

So a December built RR would most likely have been delivered with an Inland.

The original owner 1968 rr I bought in 1972 had the hurst shifter with a reverse light. It also had a white shift knob that I have been told was wrong but I am not totally convinced. My car was a hard top turbine bronze with white vinyl top, magnum 500 wheels, 26" radiator and 3.91 gear. It was original except for a dp4b edelbrock intake and scat track H-70 -14 tires.

I have a Dec 8, '67 SPD Charger that was completed later...engine, heads, tranny, k-frame all have 12/13 -12/21 dates and are original to car. It came with the Inland shifter...no reverse light in dash.

So is there a latest known Inland application in 68 B-bodies? I know of a 124 and 207 that are both thought to be factory Inland cars, 1 I can check for the reverse light tomorrow, the other it will be a week or so before I can look. Nothing would make me happier than for them to be Hurst cars.

Assembly plant info would also help.

I was able to verify no reverse light and an Inland shifter for the 207 68 R/T Coronet. The 124 car is a Satellite and I wasn't able to get to the dash today to check it.

I have in my archives an Inland 4-speed Charger with a SPD date of 2-29-68...I figure sometime in March the change was made to only install Hursts.

My 1968 GTX has a build date of 108 January 1968 and came with the Inland shifter. Just removed it and installed a Hurst unit. Car was built at the Los Angeles Ca plant.

Your GTX came with an Inland shifter and someone removed it and installed the Hurst setup.
