71 Satellite, rally dash


are the fender mount indicators ONLY supposed to work when the turn signal is activated? the left one works that way but the right one stays on constantly yet still blinks when I turn on the signal???

I've looked in the FSM, searched here on Moparts & For B bodies only, no luck. Anyone know anything about the proper operation of these type of signals? It doesn't seem to interfere with the other signals or light circuits on the car.

Also read a few threads that said it was either / or fender turns or dash indicators - mine work both simultaneously.

I'm assuming they're only supposed to operate when activated but who knows!

Are your front park-lamps working properly???

you mean sidemarkers on the fenders or lower valance turn signals indicators?

All lights seem to work properly except fender top lights.....

If your referring to amber valance lights, are those running lights as well? I'm just now powering up the car electrically after a 4 year resurrection so not sure on how all is supposed to work.

so it looks like I've got an issue with the lower right valance turn light, have power to both contacts in the fixture both constant for running & flashing for turn but no constant lit with the bulb in it. I can get the turn to work now though....

I'm going to assume that once this gets sorted out the fender light should go off - that sound correct?

only on constantly when the Turn bulb is in the socket, fender top lamp goes out when bulb is pulled.

now signal works but no running light....

was thinking perhaps bulb contacts & contact base in lamp not aligned properly??

for those that care (& those that dont ) it was a bad ground contact between the valance light housing & the body. fender indicators only on now when using turn signal, not supposed to be on with running lights.

At least now I know & the problems gone!
