I swapped out the 904 tranny with a counterweight on the tail for a 518 that didn't have one. Should I put the weight on the 518 since it has the holes to mount it or will I just be adding weight to the car.

it is tailshaft damper, wont hurt either way.

I have a damper myself but lost the bolts. could you post a pic of your damper and bolts?

maybe I can ID what they look like and spot them in my bolt bin.

Once you change the configuration that required the weight, the weight isn't needed.

Mike the bolts are 5/16 X 1 1/4" and the washers are 1 1/8" X .065 thick
