The service manual seems a bit vague; nevertheless, what is the most correct, as well as safest, procedure for re-installing the deck lid, hinges, and torsion bars after they had been completely removed by someone other than me? Thanks

It's like riding a bike, but kind of hard to explain. I always get in the trunk. CAUTION, leave the trunk lock off or have a friend helping that won't think it's funny to let you stay in the trunk for a while! At least have a flat blade screw driver just in case! I put the side with the roller on first and the hook part in place but not in the slot. Put one on first, hook it in the 2 or 3 spot and go to the other side.A vise grip and a rag to not mar the paint helps.
