Why there is a dual point on the A body only ????

The 4-speed equipped cars did have dual points only. The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it. Question: Can a 69 Roadrunner auto distributor (2875731) be built into a 69 GTX 4 spd distributor (2875772)? Ie., are the bodies the same & can the internals be changed from single to dual point?
