where do you have the secondary' floats set to?
dribble out the sight hole, or must shake the car to get fuel out?

what pump do you have on it?
residual fuel pressure pushing it past the seat?

Is it level in the car?
I seem to recall someone having an intake that tipped it at an angle?

float is set to were i just push down on the fender and it dribbles out, have a stock pump, intake is the ld340 if it were the pump should it do the same to the front bowl.

would think that, but could be something slightly different about the back that lets it bleed off first.

not saying that is it, just asking questions.

I'd install a new needle/seat assy. The current one might be defective even tho it was new

It almost sounds to me like a siphoning effect. Maybe an air bleed clogged in the secondary idle system and when you shut it off it keeps siphoning the fuel out. I have heard this before but never actually seen it. Ron

Since you rebuilt it, I'd look at the base plate & gasket. They do warp & leak. I run a large flat file across both the main body & plate surface until even color change. Inspecting the gasket can sometimes lead to the bad area.
