What's going on with aftermarket block these days for the B & RB? I'm thinking about finally putting together something for my F1R procharger and will want to start with a good block. I haven't heard anything about the Koleno blocks in a long time, are they still producing? What about the mega blocks? Thanks for the help.

I've been thinking the same thing. Check this thread out. Some good info. Not sure if Koleno is still producing blocks but heard the wait time is months. Also world blocks weren't getting the best review on a few other blogs. Maybe somebody could chime in with more updated info?!

Do you want cast iron or aluminum Is this street, street and strip or a max race effort only? I like cast iron, especially when running N/A, with a blower I might(depending on the power level, if above 1200HP, aluminum will be my choice ) want to have a good aluminum block

I have a new 4.94 rough bore World cast iron and a Koleno 4.94 bore high nickel block, they both weigh around 330 lbs, 100 lbs more than a stock 400 or 440 block

This must be a typo? Not possible.

I have a World block bored out to 5". Haven't had any issues with the block. Runs 9.50's at 3110 lbs. We are in the process of changing it over to all round tube chassis. Just my

It must not be a Mopar style block......there's no way to make 5" out of 4.80".....
