This truck is close to me and has been advertised for 2 months.Not sure about engine but it is not a Hemi or Cummins. I believe it is a 5.9 gas.2004 2500 regular cab 2wd. Truck looks real clean all the way around.It has a nice aluminum ladder rack,an in bed tool box and an aluminum tool box behind cab.The Problem is there is a hole in the block and my question is: What year 5.9 will bolt in? Considering buying,repairing and reselling or possibly keeping. Thanks!

Check Car-parts.com for any engines available, that will give you the interchange, by looking at the listings.

I just checked Alldata, in 2004, 2500 4x2, only 2 engines are 5.7 gas hemi, or 5.9 diesel

I believe you could get the 4.7 the hemi 5.7 the 8.0 v-10 and the 5.9 cummins.

I have only seen pics of the truck(150 miles away) and no hemi script or engine pics so I am sort of guessing. It would make a nice work/tow vehicle if repairs weren't too costly.Ad says hole in the block!

The last year for the 5.9 V8 was 2002.
