We bought a '70 Super Bee 440-6 in Phoenix (no motor or trans) back in the 80's from a guy & that car was a 4-speed & DID NOT have torque boxes. Yep - #'s were stamped in the body it was an original 440-6 car. No Man With A Good Car Needs To Be Justified

Did hemi hardtops have them in front and back and this is just something common to post cars? Original car, VIN and body numbers match.

6bblgt I Live Here Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17,518 Las Vegas, NV	IIRC the '66-'70 b-body HEMIs (21, 23, 29) only had rear "torque boxes", you have to have a convertible (27 w/any engine) to get front & rear.

Now, my '71 u-code Charger R/T did have them, but that was a completely different platform........ I would think any b-body between '66-70 that WASN'T equipped with a 426 HEMI nor a ragtop and had torque boxes was a fluke........
