Will the hood lip trim from a 65 Dodge work on a 64?
Thanks

I think that R/T Specialties was selling new hood lip trim for '64s a few years back. I would check with them for interchangeability.
I had a good used one that I found on e-bay. It was shipped in a piece of pvc tubing and I left it in my garage when we were remodeling. The #$@^& contractor threw out the tubing thinking it was scrap

That sucks they are hard to find!
To the OP No a 65 Dodge will not fit...
The ones Bill was making and selling were milled out of solid aluminum. They were ok from a distance but once you got near them they did not even look close compared to the Oem pieces so I guess if you have to go that route just plan on it being expensive and "better" than nothing....

Its not that they're that rare, but finding one in good condition is VERY hard to do. When I purchased my '64 it was the first trim piece I purchased and it cost me $200 used off e-bay. That was 10 years ago! Oddly enough it was shipped in a piece of PVC, but my contractor didn't throw it away since I stored it in the Polara's trunk for safe keeping.

Man, this does suck...what sucks even more is that several years ago I sold a complete set of trim for a Polara to a dude for 100 bucks!

Myself and several friends do this regularly. Some of us refer to it as having friends in low places.

It works well because the parts they find for me (Mopar stuff) is usually owned by GM, Pontiac and Ford guys. They are happy to sell stuff for what typical GM or Ford stuff would sell for.

Recently picked up a 4.56 gear in a 489 case that some one took the posi unit out of. Carrier with yoke and pinion set-up complete with ring gear. $50.

...FAFO...

Hey, Britt.

Is that turd still running?

I’m heading out to Denver in a week or so and bringing the Savoy. We’ll have to get together when you get some time. PM me your number, I’ll give you a call when I get in.
